## How it works

1. Choose a plan and pay on the product page (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or crypto).
2. The eSIM QR code arrives by email; install it before you travel (Settings > Mobile/Cellular > Add eSIM).
3. On arrival, select the eSIM for mobile data and turn on data roaming for it. Your own SIM stays in the phone for calls and SMS.

Data-only: the eSIM has no phone number. Requires an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked phone.

## For travelers from the US: what US carriers charge in Venezuela

## Your eSIM for Venezuela - sorted before you arrive

Connectivity in Venezuela can be unreliable, and buying a local SIM as a visitor is awkward, so the simplest approach is a travel eSIM set up before you go. Install it at home, switch off airplane mode when you land, and you have data without hunting for a shop or a working card terminal.

## Getting online in Caracas and on Isla Margarita

The eSIM connects when you turn off airplane mode at Caracas (CCS) or on arrival at Isla Margarita. Maps, messaging and translation are ready straight away, which matters when local information online is limited.

## What to expect from coverage

Venezuela's networks (Movistar, Digitel and Movilnet) give 4G in Caracas, Maracaibo, Valencia and the main tourist spots, but service can be inconsistent and power cuts affect masts. Keep expectations realistic, download offline maps, and treat reliable data as a useful backup rather than a guarantee in remote areas.

## FAQ

### Why arrange the eSIM before travelling to Venezuela?

Buying a local SIM as a visitor is difficult and foreign cards are often unusable, so installing a travel eSIM in advance is the most reliable way to land already connected.

### Is coverage dependable?

In the main cities you will usually have 4G, but service can be inconsistent and is affected by power cuts. Download offline maps and treat data as a strong backup rather than guaranteed everywhere.
